Origin: Why We Exist
Heat Shock was born out of the sauna itself.
Our Founder was hitting the sauna four times a week — until life changed. Switching to morning sauna sessions brought on exhaustion by 2pm, emotional flatness, and anxiety by night. The benefits of sauna were real, but the crash was just as real.
That’s when the question hit:
“Why have the cons when you can just have the pros?”
Heat Shock exists to solve this problem — so you can enjoy every benefit of sauna, without the downsides.
Meet the founder
Hi, I’m JT, the creator of Heat Shock.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science from the University of Edinburgh, and before founding Heat Shock I spent years competing at the highest levels of performance sport. I’m a multiple national gold medal swimmer, competing for county, country, and Scotland at Scottish Universities.
That background drilled into me the link between science, performance, and recovery — and it’s the same standard I bring into every Heat Shock product.
